How to Become Driving Instructor

If you have decided that driving instructor is right career for me then first of all you need to check, can I go ahead and start my driving instructor training.

Before you start your application process, to become a driving instructor, please ensure you meet standard requirements about this.

  • Age: 20.5 years old

  • Car License held: 2.5 years

  • No Criminal Record / No Conviction

Once you got your Enhanced DBS checked, PRN number issued by DVSA then you need to pass following three exams, to become driving instructor.

  • (ADI part 1) Take the Theory Test

  • (ADI part 2) Take the Driving Ability Test

  • (ADI part 3) Take the Instructional Ability Test

Driving Instructor Training

  • We deliver pay as you go, driving instructor training @ £38 per hour.
  • You need approx 10-12 hours of driving lessons to pass ADI Part 2.
  • For ADI Part 3, you need at least 40 – 60 hours of driving instructor training.
